Party Buses In Iowa: Des Moines / Iowa City / Ames |
We try to anticipate questions you might have about our service and provide the answers here. If you need additional information send email to info@urgebus.com
Your safety is our number one priority. Whenever there is bad weather, we'll check the road conditions with the Iowa Department of Transportation. If there is a chance of snow, sleet, freezing rain or even fog, there's a good chance we might cancel your party. We'll let your party know as soon as possible if this is the case. If we do need to cancel your party due to weather you will receive a full refund.
First, email or call us to confirm that we are available for the date and time of your event. We will need a signed contract and a credit/debit card to reserve the bus. This is required to hold your date. Once your reservation is confirmed, the balance is due when the party bus arrives. We accept cash or credit card the day of your event.
After you tell us you want to book, we turn business away from others who want to book your date. Because of this, if you cancel 15 days, or more, prior to your date, we have to bill 50% of your contracted amount. If you cancel 14 days or less, we have to charge the full amount.
Yes, this protects us and shows you that we are committed to the event. This also lets you know what is expected of you in regards to damage, theft, excessive messes, bodily fluids (vomit, etc.), fighting on or off the bus, or being rude or threatening the bus driver.
Typically, we would like to pick everyone up in one location and drop off in the same manner, but we will do it. Keep in mind, you are paying us by the hour. You will need to arrange this up front, because this will be included in the hours you rent the bus. If you choose to have more than two pick up/drop off locations, we will need the addresses in advance so we can plan a route that is efficient.
The time starts when we arrive to pick you up, and ends when the last passenger gets off the bus.
YES! Of course you can drink on the bus! BUT, you may not take any alcoholic beverages off the bus. You can bring kegs and/or coolers if you want as well. We ask that you don't bring glass bottles or containers on the bus because they're likely to break.
Yes, you are always welcome to bring your own CD's or MP3 player.
Anywhere within 45 miles of Des Moines is included in your hourly rate. Surrounding areas will have a mileage and fuel charge added. Because of fluctuating fuel prices, this price changes all the time. We're very competitive though, just email us and we'll tell you how much it will be.
It matters for a lot of reasons. Do you really want to ride around town in a bus that looks like a fifth grader painted it with a paint brush? We didn't think so. Also, if a company doesn't believe in the quality of their product, what is their quality of service going to be like?
Our bus can seat up to 40 people comfortably and still has room for 20 more standing. Limos are great, but you can't get up and move around or dance.
If you want a cooler we can provide one, however we'd recommend bringing your own. It will be a lot easier at the end of the night to take you drinks off the bus. Having built-in coolers seems like a great idea until they start to stink from not being cleaned properly. One more added feature is if you go to a BYOB club you can take your own cooler rather than carrying a handful of drinks.
We do all kinds of events ranging from Birthday parties to Christmas light tours, haunted housing, and Bachelor/Bachelorette parties. Transportation to concerts, proms, weddings, sporting events, etc.
If you have a specific date in mind, we suggest you book it immediately. We have several events booked over a year in advance. However, if you are looking for something tonight or this weekend never hesitate to call and see if there is an opening! All dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. We don't consider any date booked until we have a signed contract.
Heck yeah we do. We'll have a list on the bus of current deals with bars ranging from free cover to free drinks.
Of Course we are. There's been a lot of coverage locally on party buses and how some companies operate illegally just to make a buck. We would never jeopardize your safety just to get a bus out on the road. We've been legal since our first day of operation, something not too many other party bus companies in Iowa can say. Our DOT number is 1814566-IA. Here is our link to the FMCSA site showing our authority to carry passengers.
